In 2016 we held three members dialogue events and an AGM and public talk for our Members, Associate Members and Friends. Check out our Events section for upcoming Members events.
January 2016: ‘Don’t’ Stand By’: as part of Holocaust Memorial our members, associate members and friends gathered to meet with our international guests, Mukesh Kapila (the whistle blower on the genocide in the Sudan) and Inge Auerbacher a child survivor of the Nazi concentration camps. Together they explored what qualities are needed to stand up to injustice, discrimination and hatred.
May 2016: ‘Future Interfaith Work at the National Level’. At this event over 45 members gathered to explore together the way forward for national engagement in Scotland. The two key questions explored were:

October 2016: ‘The Changing Story of Religion and Human Rights’
Members, Associate Members and Friends gathered at the Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh to hear presentations from the Amnesty International and the The Equality and Human Rights Centre (Scotland) on the global and national human rights situation for religion and belief. The presentations were followed by intense and fruitful dialogue.
December 2016 Public Talk and AGM: ‘Creative Conflict Transformation’: The public talk was given by Ruth Harvey, Director of Place for Hope. Ruth explored creative ways to transform conflict and this was followed by an opportunity for dialogue. A successful AGM was held after the public talk.
