Edinburgh Interfaith Association

The Edinburgh Interfaith Association (EIFA) was formed in 1989 to promote and facilitate positive engagement between the faith communities in Edinburgh. Over the years EIFA has organised and promoted numerous public talks, dialogues, panel events, film screenings, exhibitions, city based interfaith ‘pilgrimages’, conferences on subjects such as Islamaphobia, Science and Religion, Religion and Education, Re-visioning Interfaith and Positive Education. EIFA also organises a varied programme of events for Scottish Interfaith Week.

Full details of the Edinburgh Interfaith Association can be found on their website: www.eifa.org.uk.

The secretary of EIFA is Iain Stewart who can be contacted at iain@eifa.org.uk

Edinburgh Women's Interfaith Group

The Edinburgh Women’s Interfaith Group is a safe, organic, open and informal group, welcoming women of all faiths and none. The group meets quarterly: in January, in March (for International Women's Day), in July (for the summer outing), and in November (for Scottish Interfaith Week). Topics discussed include rituals or practices of different faith groups; peace circles; violence against women; storytelling and gracious listening; artistic project work.

For more information on their events and to join their mailing list, contact the group at info@edinwig.org.uk. The group has a website: www.edinwig.org.uk.
